The Bugatti Chiron, the latest masterpiece by the French luxury motoring brand Bugatti, is making its first public appearance in Hong Kong at Gold Coast Motor Festival, the city’s premier motor celebration, at a launch event on 10 November 2017.

The Chiron was unveiled at the 86th International Geneva Motor Show in 2016 and is among the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and exclusive-production super sports cars. With a power output of 1,500 PS, unprecedented for production vehicles, an exceptionally high torque value of 1,600 Nm between 2,000 and 6,000 rpm, a top speed of 420 km/h (limited for road travel) and a wide variety of technical innovations, the Chiron sets new standards in many aspects.

The Chiron is built at the company’s headquarters in Molsheim. Only 500 of these exceptional cars are to be produced. The first customer cars were delivered in March 2017. The base net price is 2.5 million Euros. Currently orders have been received for more than 300 of the entire Chiron series.

The Chiron follows in the footsteps of the famed Bugatti Veyron 16.4, which positioned Bugatti at the top of the league of super sports car brands when it débuted in 2005. The development of this super car represented one of the greatest technical and engineering challenges overcome in automotive history. With a power output of 1,001 PS, a top speed of 407 km/p (limited for road traffic) and a starting price of 1 million Euros, it was the first super sports car of the modern era and introduced a new segment in the car industry. To date all 450 Veyron, the coupés (Veyron 16.4 and the Super Sport), which were limited to 300 units, and the 150 roadster versions (the Grand Sport and the Grand Sport Vitesse) are sold out, setting standards for unique top-class technical performance and luxury in a comparable price/volume range.
