We are glad to note that Gold Coast Motor Festival is rapidly establishing itself as one of the key events of the year and puts Hong Kong on the Asian motoring map.’

In partnership with leading car manufacturers and discerning collectors, this year’s festival showcases over 80 cars, from prized classic and collector cars to some of the most sought-after super and hype cars. The dazzling line-up represents the very best examples of their types, in terms of history, craftsmanship and power.

A highlight of the festival is the beautiful Ferrari 250 GT/E, first introduced at the Le Mans 24-Hour Race in 1960. It has been chosen as the hero car of the Festival in honour of the 70th anniversary of the legendary car manufacturer. Other unmissable cars include a Toyota 2000GT, famed as the first ‘super car’ out of Japan and a 1926 Bentley 3 litre, one of the oldest registered cars in Hong Kong.

Amongst the super and hyper cars, visitors will have a chance to get up close to appreciate the Pagani Zonda Fantasma Evo, a one-off special edition; a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, one of 20 ever produced; a McLaren P1GTR and the iconic McLaren F1.

The Bugatti Chiron, the latest masterpiece by the French luxury motoring brand Bugatti, is making its public Hong Kong début at Gold Coast Motor Festival. The Chiron was unveiled at the 86th International Geneva Motor Show in 2016 and is amongst the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and exclusive-production super sports cars. Only 500 of these exceptional cars are to be produced. Guests to Gold Coast Motor Festival will be delighted to see both the Chiron and Veyron side-by-side at the Bugatti booth.

A festival for all
In addition to support The Community Chest of Hong Kong, the official charity partner, Gold Coast Motor Festival provides a platform to facilitate youth development and innovation. Two award-winning solar-powered electric vehicles developed by students from the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) are on exhibition. There will be talks by IVE instructor over the weekend to introduce the work to the public. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is also hosting workshops on Motor DIY to promote innovation.

Additionally, Gold Coast Motor Festival is hosting over one thousand guests from underprivileged families on Saturday in collaboration with 16 local NGOs for them to enjoy the festival.
